Facility Insurance

MiniCo is a leading specialty insurance provider for the self-storage industry offering a commercial businessowner policy with specialty coverages including customer goods legal liability and sale and disposal liability. General liability only and umbrella coverage are also available. Coverage is available in the United States and select Canadian provinces. MiniCo represents A.M. Best "A" rated carriers.

Tenant Insurance

With two tenant insurance programs to choose from, MiniCo has tenant insurance covered.

The MiniCo Pay-With-Rent tenant insurance program and TenantOne Direct insurance program have been enhanced to provide improved benefits for self-storage businesses and tenants. Features include a zero-dollar deductible, rodent/vermin damage coverage, replacement cost coverage and facility protection coverage in the event of fire. MiniCo Pay-With-Rent facilities earn competitive administrative fees, and training is available to enhance tenant participation.

Both programs are real insurance programs underwritten by A.M. Best "A" rated carriers. In the event a tenant experiences a loss, MiniCo's in-house claims team takes the lead in processing and adjusting claims - not the facility. In addition, the MiniCo Pay-With-Rent and TenantOne Direct insurance programs function as primary insurance in the event of a claim. Tenants are not required to file a claim against their homeowner or other insurance policy before making a claim with MiniCo.

Risk Management Tools and Information

MiniCo provides risk management information for self-storage professionals through our quarterly e-Risk Management electronic newsletter. Each issue features articles about risk management tools and strategies that may be implemented at self-storage operations including a risk management checklist.
